NJelectricity.org was designed to help educate New Jersey consumers on the benefits and choices that are a result of the Electric Discount and Energy Competition Act (EDECA) in 1999.  We take the current default rates of the utilities and compare them to the offered rates of competitive electricity companies so that consumers can see an apples-to-apples comparison and see how much they can save.

By doing this, we hope to create an even more competitive environment amongst the electricity companies so that New Jersey consumers get the lowest possible rates.
