It starts with the letters “PG” instead of “PE” and usually only has two or three, out of the 18, different digits than the electric POD ID. With such similarities, it is easy to see how consumers often mistake the two numbers. However, when a customer wishing to change their electricity supplier enter in their gas POD ID, the enrollment is automatically cancelled.
Once you find a competitive electric rate offer that you want, it is important to make sure you enter in your PSEG electric POD ID (PE plus 18 digits) and not your account number (12 digits) or PSEG gas POD ID (PG plus 18 digits).
